The ancient Greeks loved setting up new towns in new places along the shoreline in the south of the Greek peninsula. However, when they sailed across the Mediterranean Sea and tried to set up a colony in ancient Egypt, they were told to get lost. A civilization was already in residence, the ancient Egyptians. How did Egypt's geography help to keep them safe from invaders? How did Egypt's geography compare to Greece's geography?
